” Why do we do this to ourselves?” It’s the most common question asked just before your heat goes on the floor. We all have different reasons but I am sure yours would be similar to Linda’s.
“Physie genuinely makes me smile!” says Linda. “My heart was bursting with pride as I marched out to compete for the first time in 5 years. I felt the blessing of reuniting with friends from clubs I have belonged to in my travels. I watched ladies support and encourage women from rival clubs because that’s what we do. Giving advice on number placement, admiring leotard colours, laughing when you find your “leotard twin”, even providing remedial first aid or sharing lollies. My old club mates did not hesitate to welcome me into their dressing room space and most graciously help me with hair and makeup then wish me every success as I went out to represent the club where I now train.”
Linda would like to thank everyone who made Ladies Masters Day so wonderful and congratulate all who participated.
