Coonamble Physie is back and Simone Austin and Steph Borowski couldn’t be more excited. We both grew up in Jervis Bay, and now we find ourselves about 700km away in Coonamble. It’s incredible how life brings people together, and I feel so grateful that we get to share our passion for physie with this wonderful community.
Having physie back in town is a game-changer for families. No more long drives of over 100km just to get to a dance class! Now, our girls can enjoy classes right here in Coonamble.
We run classes from 5 to 12 years and it’s lovely to see girls come together at physie as it’s something so different to what the town normally has. Seeing new friendships form is so special as we still have very close friends that we have met through physie. We also now have a ladies class, which is super exciting. Simone teaches long time physie girl Steph, along with a brand new beginner (who we are trying to encourage to compete as she has so much potential). This class is so fun and full of laughs so we are hoping to expand it next year.
We are excited for the year ahead and catching up with our friends at Central West Zone! This weekend is one of our favourites of the year as we love watching all the girls compete, catching up with other associates and having a weekend away (as our zone is 280km away). Good luck to everyone with the physie year and keep an eye out for a Coonamble shirt at comps. If you see us, please come and say Hi!
