This delightful photo was taken on Una Macleay’s 101st birthday celebration!
She is pictured here with Jackie Simpson (left) and Jenelle Morgan Monk
(centre). All three Physie lifelong friends now reside at Hillside in
Wollongong, as do several other Physie ladies.
Una Macleay was the BJP Grand Champion Girl in 1945 and 1948 and can be seen
here doing a superb bendback with Bonnie Barnes (right) during a BJP photo
shoot in the late 1940s. She is also pictured here (centre-front) with a
winning senior girls’ team from the Leonians club.
We wish Una many more happy birthdays to come…
