Jumps

  • Jumps may be done in 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th position
  • The feet and legs should be fully extended when in the air
  • Heels should be fully down when landing
  • Heels should be together when jumping (and landing) in 1st position
  • Ensure landing is soft and the knees are relaxed in a demi-plie
  • The body should stay tight and bottom tucked under
  • The body’s core should be engaged with back straight
  • Head remains still and does not move as jumps are performed
  • Jumps should be performed in time with the music
