Ankle Strength
We often focus on how much we can point our toes (or rather stretch our feet) but we forget how important it is to have strong ankles for dancing.
Here’s a great exercise not only to build up calf strength and ankle stability but to develop your balance skills as well.
Stand tall on one foot, lifting through the crown of the head, hands on your waist, then rise slowly onto the ball of your foot.
When rising up, always try to push your instep forward over your BIG toe, not your little toe.
Do 10 raises on each leg, daily if you can – you can do them while your checking your phone!
