Mrs Judy Spence, former Managing Director of BJP, came to Sydney Olympic Park yesterday to present the three Open Senior Cups to the winning teams. These cups are are an important part of the history of BJP and have the names of winning clubs engraved on them going back seventy years. It is an honour to be awarded one of these cups, the pinnacle of success in teams events.
Congratulations to all the seniors – the level of athleticism and dance expression were incredible. The winners of the Open Senior A Grade cups were Mount Ousley and Randwick and the B Grade cup was won by Pennant Hills, closely followed by Glenbrook.
The weekend was a busy one with 200 teams competing in both junior and senior events. Yes 200 teams!! That means 800 girls went home with a medal. And there’ll be another 250 teams competing next Saturday at the A and B Grade Junior Teams Day.
