Jumps
- Jumps may be done in 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th position
- The feet and legs should be fully extended when in the air
- Heels should be fully down when landing
- Heels should be together when jumping (and landing) in 1st position
- Ensure landing is soft and the knees are relaxed in a demi-plie
- The body should stay tight and bottom tucked under
- The body’s core should be engaged with back straight
- Head remains still and does not move as jumps are performed
- Jumps should be performed in time with the music
