Prop on Elbows

  • This position is often overlooked and is wrongly used as a time to relax the body or slouch into the floor. It is important the body is lifted!
  • It is important to tighten your core in this move.
  • Place elbows on floor with fingers pointing forward toward the body – fingers together
  • Elbows should be under the shoulders
  • Ensure body is lifted out of hips and off the floor – be careful not to arch the back and over puff the chest. Try to create a straight line with body not an arch.
  • Forearms and wrists flat on floor
  • Ensure feet are together and toes pointed
  • Knees locked
  • Pull shoulders back
  • Lift chin to extend the line of the body. Don’t drop the head back.
