When you get to physie class, don’t flop down into astride sit and chat (or check fb!)… grab a friend and stretch together! Resistance stretching is great for your body – by using your friend’s strength to pull against you can really get a great stretch.
Figure 1: for a side stretch, bend into the outside knee and don’t let go of the top hand. Take your weight on the inside hand. See how far you can bend.
Figure 2: To stretch the shoulders, push into the front knee and hold your friend’s hands or wrists. The further your chest moves forward, the closer the hands come towards each other. Take it gently, keep your shoulders down and your neck long.
