This year the Wauchope Show Society introduced the junior showgirl competition – there were 7 entrants in this and 3 of them are Physie girls! Tahlia Bell Baker (17) Michelle Shoobert (16) and Elizabeth Pike (16)
The three young ladies were required to stand up in a room of 120 people and speak into the microphone one at a time with confidence and ease! Their Physie teacher said “It was a wonderful thing to watch as when I first met these girls they were shy, quite little girls when they started Physie years ago! “
The girl wearing the light blue sash on is Jaclyn Lindsay (21) and she was last years Wauchope showgirl winner. Jaclyn then went on to compete at the zone and also won that, enabling her to go to the Sydney Royal Easter show and just recently she represented Wauchope as a rural ambassador! Jaclyn did a wonderful job there as well and we are very proud of her!
The winners will be announced this Saturday at the Wauchope Show but either way they have already done themselves & their club proud by just getting up there and having a go!
Physie certainly does empower girls and women for life.
