When two little girls, Alyssa and April, met each other in their Preschool physie class at Hinchinbrook back 13 years ago, no one could have imagined how their lives would intertwine…
Alyssa and April enjoyed physie at Hinchinbrook with their physie friends. Together they have been in many teams during their 13 years at physie, have competed every year in Liverpool Zone champion girl and have enjoyed being at Junior Nationals together and even the Opera House.
They are now both in the senior class and are teaching at Hinchinbrook, along with their other lifelong physie friend, Giorgia.
This year Alyssa and April are doing their HSC, sharing their highs and lows in this too. Imagine their surprise when they accidentally met up at a University of Sydney open night recently. Both are contemplating degrees in the area of Psychology!
The girls were excited to be photographed with former NRL player Corey Payne who chairs the Future Direction Network at University of Sydney. Corey gave them this nugget of advice which applies as just as much to physie as it does to the HSC…
“There’s no such thing as luck, just hard work.”
