Val Connors started teaching for BJP Physie in 1948 and only recently retired. She was instrumental in establishing and maintaining the Newcastle Zone and also taught physical culture in schools for many years. Val’s family organised a family get together last weekend for her 80th birthday but, for Val, coming to the BJP 120 Year Party was more important! Of course, the family understood… physie comes first! So thanks Val for being part of the celebration and for cutting our cake. You are, without a doubt, one of our National Treasures.
