The Scone Horse Festival is a long-standing celebration, held annually for the past 45 years in Scone—proudly known as the Horse Capital of Australia. The festival honours the town’s rich equine heritage, showcasing all breeds of horses and the men and women who work with them through a variety of events held over two weeks.
One of the highlights is the Parade, a vibrant community event where both equine and non-equine groups decorate floats to reflect the theme of the year.
Since Towarri Physie opened in 2022, we’ve proudly participated in the parade, celebrating our sport and the incredible region we call home. It’s a joy to connect with the community and share our passion for Physie in such a meaningful way.
Comments from Members:
Khloe: My favourite part was seeing my friends.
Mil: Riding the pretend horse.
Abby: Sitting on the purple horse and spending the morning with Physie.
Julia & Sky: Being on the float and getting Towarri Physie involved with the community.
Tayla: Seeing all the smiles on the faces in the crowd.
Bree: I loved being able to bring our wonderful club together in the town where we began our Towarri adventure, and staying connected with our local community. It was also special to have the local Girl Guide group join us—two fantastic organisations that share core values.
Tenae: Being part of the Festival brings back memories of my childhood and the Blessing of the Fleet festivals in Ulladulla. It’s a celebration of community and all the fabulous things it has to offer. The best part of the float is seeing the girls and their families come together, proudly wearing their club uniforms. They laugh, joke, smile, and work as a team to create a float they can be proud of. It’s memories like these that remind me this sport is so much more than just a sport—it’s truly a family.
