In 1926 a billboard advertisement for Bjelke-Petersen had pride of place at Lindfield railway station offering boxing, fencing, ju-jitsu, deportment and more. To find the billboard in this photo, look in the bottom left corner and go to the most right hand billboard. These days we have members living in Lindfield who dance at North Shore physie club – I bet they didn’t know that Lindfield looked like this almost 100 years ago…
