Competition season is here! There’s excitement in the air, routines being practised and lots of butterflies starting to appear.
While competition season can be one of the most rewarding parts of Physie, it can also bring nerves and self-doubt. That’s why one of the most important things we can practise this season isn’t just our dance moves — it’s positive thinking.
Here are 5 simple ways to practise positive thinking during Physie competition season:
- Use positive self-talk
- Focus on progress, not perfection
- Visualise success
- Be grateful
- Encourage others
Feeling nervous before a competition doesn’t mean you aren’t ready. Those butterflies are simply your body getting ready for something important. Even experienced performers get nervous!
Take a deep breath and stand tall. Forward!
