We know Winter can make it hard to leave the couch and brave the chill for Physie class. But once you’re there, it’s even more important to warm up properly—especially when it’s super cold outside. Here’s why warming up in winter isn’t just helpful… it’s essential (and fun, too!).

When it’s freezing out, your muscles feel it too! Cold muscles are tighter and stiffer, which means they’re more prone to strains or injury. Warming up gets your blood flowing, loosens everything up and preps your body to move safely and confidently.

Whether you’re nailing a balance, hitting your splits, or working on beautiful posture, you need your muscles to be awake and ready to go. A proper warm-up makes your movements smoother, your technique sharper and your performance more powerful.

Warming up isn’t just about your body—it helps your brain get ready too. It gives you a moment to focus, reconnect with your body and switch from school/home/day mode into Physie mode.

So next time you arrive at class and it’s absolutely freezing outside, remember: warming up is your secret weapon. It protects your body, improves your routines and gets you in the zone.
