It’s that time of the year again where dancers from near and far come together for the Australian Dance Festival!
The Nepean girls enjoyed representing BJP at the 2016 Australian Dance Festival on Sunday with a group of 23 dancers ranging in ages. They loved the opportunity to show the dance world what BJP Physie is all about and were proud to perform their routines in front of an audience who were encouraging and enthusiastic!
One of the many highlights throughout the day was meeting famous dancer and choreographer, Lauren Seymour. She spent some time in between running her workshops to chat with the girls about her experience as a physie girl when she was younger. She spoke about how physie had such a positive impact on her dance career and remembers her physie teacher and special mentor, Evelyn Birchnoff who is still with her every time she dances.
