Have you ever wondered what a Physie Champion gets up to in the off season? What does a physie girl do when she doesn’t have her weekly class to attend?! Here is a glimpse of what Kamya Jennings has been doing in her time off.

What makes physie so special for you?
Physie is special to me because it allows me to express myself and transport into another dimension.

How has physie moulded you as a person?
Physie has allowed me to become more confident and step out of my comfort zone- whether that be performing on the floor or even just making new friends.

If you could go back in time, what advice and lessons learned would you had given to your “younger self”
Love and embrace the challenge – challenges are a part of life and finding solutions to those challenges allows skills to be formed and retained.

What do you like to do in the physie break?
In the physie break I enjoy the simple things – going to cafes, taking my dog for a walk, and also travelling around Australia. These holidays I travelled to Geelong to explore and meet my partner’s family.

What’s your favourite hobby or something that people might not know about you?
One thing people don’t know about me is that I am a huge animal fan. Anything that involves animals I enjoy being a part of.

How do you keep fit, healthy and flexible over the break so that you’re ready for the new year?
To keep fit and healthy over the break I enjoy going for walks with my dog and the occasional bush walk.

Do you have a favourite personal quote you either heard or have made yourself?
The key to success is to focus on goals, not the obstacles that stand in your way. A positive and growth mindset makes you one step closer to overcoming the obstacles.
