The year has started with a bang with most clubs starting back this week and reporting that lots of new members are coming through the door and the word seems to be spreading – PHYSIE IS MAKING A COMEBACK!  Now that’s a great way to start the year…  Perhaps everyone’s new year’s resolution could be to bring a new friend to physie… or even bring an old friend back to physie!

Speaking of new year resolutions, we all know the standard ones: “I’m going to get fit, lose weight and be able to do the splits”.  Well, let’s put that in better terms. How about: “I’m going to increase my fitness, eat more healthy food and start stretching every day.”  And how about the most important thing – TAKE IT SLOW!  If you embark on an unrealistic program now of exercise, dieting and stretching, you wont’ be able to sustain it for the next ten months and you could cause your body real harm.  Remember the tortoise and the hare – slow and steady wins the race.  Don’t overdo it on the first night back at physie!  And then there’s the old favourite: Rome wasn’t built in a day.  Start slow and build from there – that way you’ll still be sticking to your new year’s resolutions in November.  Good luck!
