Taree Great Lakes have come together to host a PJ and Popcorn Party to fundraise for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter service.
Two of their members have been saved by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter service over the past couple of years. Lyn Creek is the teacher at Taree Great Lakes and she is so grateful to the team. “Jess is a 12 year old at our club and she fell off her quad bike and the helicopter had to come and take her to John Hunter Hospital a couple of years ago and earlier this year one of our Physie Ladies, Mel, fell from a horse and it rolled on her. Once again the Westpac Rescue helicopter came to her rescue. Quad bikes and horses… you know you are in the country. Everyone had a fun afternoon, new girls experienced Physie and we also asked for a gold coin donation to go to the Rescue helicopter’s fundraiser… Superhero Stride.”
