Competitions at the Central West Zone could have been a sad affair after the tragic loss of Dianne Ehsman just before comp time. But instead of despair, there was a sense of celebration of Di and everything she did for her club and her girls over the decades, along with a strong feeling of pulling together by all the Associates to make the weekend a great experience for all the competitors in this growing zone. Amy from Parkes stood in for Di as Head of Zone and did a wonderful job, aided by all the Associates. The competitors from all branches of the Lachlan Valley United club wore pink ribbons in their hair in honour of Di. Amy said, “Our girls toasted Di with pink lemonade at classes last week. Di was renowned for wearing pink fluffy slippers at every available opportunity so we made a small table at zone to remember her with the club singlet, some pink roses and her pink fluffy slippers. The pink roses were then laid at the cemetery by some of our girls.” Amy sent these photos of smiling faces and happy physie girls, which show us that “the show goes on”, just as Di would have wanted.
