Hooray for the ladies class’ supper night. Think how many thousands of ladies over the decades have had a chat over supper after their physie class. How many joys shared, discussions had, problems solved and (just occasionally) the odd glass of bubbles consumed. For physie ladies, going to class isn’t just a way to get fit and stay fit, or a chance to dance and express themselves, it’s a weekly connection with a network of like-minded women who “just get them”.
For Belinda Hilton, after doing physie in Sydney for 30 years, a work promotion meant not only a move to Melbourne but a sad farewell to her friends in the ladies’ class. She said, “Physie has been such a big part of my life for so long it was really hard to say goodbye to everyone and I hope I can get back into it next year in Melbourne.”
The good news for Belinda is that moving interstate doesn’t mean you have to give up physie. There’s always a club ready to welcome you with open arms to their class because, while the 200 physie locations are independent, they’re all part of one big BJP Physie Family.
It’s getting cold in here!
Whatever your stretching goal, you must be warm before you stretch. Stretching doesn’t make you warm, movement does
