A physie teacher’s story…

At a time when life was crazy and I felt devastated, an offer to teach Physie came my way. What a blessing it has proven to be for my life!  I always knew that Physie was an amazing sport for developing physically strong girls but it wasn’t until I came back to teaching that I discovered… the OTHER side of Physie.

I discovered an amazing group of women who were ready not only to give everything they had, work hard and accept me as their teacher but women who were so willing, ready and able to help heal an injured heart and help their teacher through a tough time in life.  Who would have thought that they would give back so much of themselves? And, in return, we all won. This was the wonderful surprise and the biggest upside of my teaching role.

In Physie we often share self doubt, fear and insecurity. But the feeling of being supported and cared for by your physie friends far outweighs any of that.  The students in my ladies’ class have left me feeling inspired, refreshed and loving them not only as my ‘Physie girls’ but as women and friends.

Physie women are passionate, strong, powerful, resilient, caring, determined fighters with an incredible capacity for caring and concern for everyone in their Physie family.  I acknowledge and pay tribute to all physie women, everywhere.
