Flexibility and strength are so important to physie girls. Dancing requires not just flexibility but body control, which comes from muscle strength. The earlier a physie girl starts to stretch and do strengthening exercises, and learns to do them the right way, the better dancer she will be when she grows up.

Recently the Toongabbie and Nepean Club got together for what they called a “Stretching Bonanza!” The focus was on the girls achieving their personal best and learning correct technique. Everyone had a great time working on their strength and flexibility, while making new physie friendships and having some fun and relaxed bonding time in preparation for the upcoming team events.
