My life as a Physie girl in 5 words is… rewarding, fun, busy, exciting and fulfilling.

The best piece of advice I ever received was… “stay calm, controlled and confident!” Hearing these words from my Nan before every performance helps me realise that I have already done the hard work and now it’s time to enjoy the performance!

I’ll never give up Physie because…  it is fitness, friendships and fun all in one! I love being able to have an outlet where I see my friends, have a laugh and of course work up a sweat.

When I’m not doing Physie…  I’m busy studying at university, working at my part-time job or spending time with my family and friends. I have recently completed a bachelor of science and am currently studying a masters of secondary education. I also love playing trivia and completing the wordle every morning!

I’ll always be grateful for….  the support of my family and friends. They keep my life balanced during busy times and are cheering me on at every performance. I am incredibly grateful for my parents’ support and guidance. It wouldn’t be a Physie day without mum’s calm pep talks and dad’s trip to the shop for more bobby pins!

My favourite routine this year is…  the senior contemporary. I love how it is a combination of expression and technique, and learning the powerful meaning behind it has made me fall in love with the routine even more!

Preparing to perform on the 2024 video was...  an incredible experience! It was such a surreal journey from the very first class to finishing on filming day, and time went so quickly, but I enjoyed every moment of it.

My favourite thing about the video shoot was…  how supported I felt during the whole process. Everyone was super friendly and encouraging.

I am inspired by…  my Physie teachers. They truly are amazing women who motivate me in all aspects of my life, not just Physie! Every class I am in awe of their incredible teaching and I always try to find ways that I can incorporate their skills and methods into my teaching.
