My life as a Physie girl in 5 words is … fun, determined, hardworking, happy and purple 💜
My earliest Physie memory is… when I was 4 and I went to the Opera House to watch my mum. I got to go backstage with her for a photo. It was so exciting.
The best piece of advice I ever received was… not to watch the people in front of me. Just look up, concentrate and be confident.
My favourite quote is… Try your best and have fun!
My favourite Physie moment was when … I won 8 Year National Champion. I was so surprised when they called my number and felt so happy. I loved it when I marched off and Miss Kim picked me up and swirled me around. It was so funny!
I’ll never give up Physie because … it’s so fun and I want to keep working hard on it forever.
When I’m not doing Physie I’m … playing with my little brother Levi, playing with my dog Lily or doing craft. I also love doing ballet and lyrical.
I’ll always be grateful for… all the friends I’ve made at Physie. I’m also grateful that I can do it with my mum. I have 3 brothers so I love my time at Physie with her. My nan, aunty and cousins do it too which I love.
If I could have any superhero power it would be… to turn things into ice. I could make my own giant waterslide and that would be so much fun.
My favourite routine is… the dance because it is fun and boppy. It makes me feel happy.
To prepare for physie competitions I… practice a lot. On the day I always wear my mum’s lucky dazzle dust that she got when she was 8.
My favourite thing about performing is…getting to wear makeup and showing off my routines to a crowd.
I’m looking forward to… making new friends at the comps. I also can’t wait to be old enough to perform at the Opera House. That will be so cool.
My Physie teacher always says… to focus and use my muscles. After class Miss Kim always says, “Hey Lucy, I’ll give you $1 if you give me your lollipop.“ 😄
I am inspired by … my mum.

What should I eat before a competition?
Depending on how close you are to performing, will change your ratio of macronutrients (carbohydrates, protein and fat).
THE POWER OF FRIENDSHIP
You can’t buy self-confidence right? No. But you can get it through friendship. Your Physie friends have your
