My life as a Physie girl in 5 words is: Physie is my happy place.
The best piece of advice I ever received was…. that the only thing I can control is how hard I work. I also like “it’s just you and the music” before a performance.
My favourite quote is… “Don’t count the days, make the days count”.
I’ll never give up Physie because…. it has always been my constant. The friends I’ve made are friends for life and Physie has surrounded me with people who inspire me.
When I’m not doing Physie…. I enjoy time at the beach and, of course, thinking about Physie.
I’ll always be grateful for…. Strathpine club and the wider Physie community. I’ve grown up with a great bunch of girls and we get to share our love of physie together. And, of course, my teachers Miss Maddision, Nay, Gem and Kazza – I’m forever grateful for their support.
My favourite routine this year is…. the 13-1st Year Dance – it’s so groovy. I also love the contemporary.
Preparing to perform on the 2024 video was…. so exciting. I enjoyed every moment of the lead up and I always love learning new syllabus. After months of learning and fine tuning the routines, it’s rewarding to see the end product.
My favourite thing about the video shoot was…. getting to meet the other performers in person.
My Physie teacher always says…. “One more time”, which we know is never true.
I am inspired by…. all Physie girls and ladies, especially Phoebe Collins. I remember growing up watching her on the DVD. Ashleigh Barry is another great role model – her strength and humility is inspiring.
