3rd Sideways Lateral Bend

  • This is a full lateral bend, at astride, with one knee bent.
  • Ensure your knee is pushed over your toe.
  • Usually taken from the yard position, lateral over the bent leg until bottom hand touches the floor and the top hand points to the ceiling.
  • Arms form a vertical line, through the shoulders, from fingertip to fingertip.
  • The bottom arm is behind the bent leg.
  • Hips and shoulders face the front.
  • Engage your core and keep your head in line with your body.
