Lisa Wannell, teacher at Wauchope Physie Club, was recently nominated by her local community to enter the “Royal of the North” competition to be the Wauchope Miss Showgirl – so she thought she’d give it a go!
The Competition aims to find a young female Ambassador for rural NSW and the agricultural show movement. The winning Showgirl of each local Show Society is selected by a panel of three judges on criteria such as personality, confidence, life goals, general knowledge, presentation, speech and an interest in rural NSW.
Lisa received the Runner Up Miss Showgirl award. Congratulations Lisa!
She says “It was great fun to be involved with but the best part was at the show, when the Showgirl was announced, lots of my little physie girls that I teach and their families came to watch and support me. It was really lovely!”
