Long Sit
Tips for long sit
- Sitting on the floor ensure you are lifting up out of your hips
- Back needs to be as straight possible
- Tighten body core
- Lift chest and keep shoulders down
- Hands should be stretched out to touch floor with finger tips in line with hips
- Legs need to be fully extended in front with knees, feet and toes together
- Head lifted in line with posture
If you are having trouble sitting up straight at long sit, then try stretching your hamstrings more. Try to sit on the back of your legs at long sit, rather than slumping back onto your bottom. Practicing against a wall is a great way to see if your back is straight.
