When you take the position called “Prop on Side” there are some important points to note. Make sure both hands are flat on the floor, fingers pointing forward.
The upper part of your supporting arm should be vertical (elbow directly under the shoulder) and the lower arm should be pointing straight forward on the floor with a straight wrist.
Most importantly the chest should be lifted away from the floor so there is a perfect triangle of white space between your body and the floor, as you can see in this picture.
When the top leg is raised, the body doesn’t move, sag or twist.
