A letter from Lara’s mum:
“I wanted to thank you for the opportunity for Lara to perform on the 2013 DVD. This was such an honour for her and a day that she will remember forever. All the BJP staff were absolutely fantastic and made her feel so special. She really did have a fantastic time, albeit was a little overwhelmed early on….

Since starting physie as a 6 year old, Lara has turned from a shy little girl to a confident one. Seeing her yesterday was amazing. She introduced herself to the other performers, congratulated Brooke on her Opera House win and she said it felt like she’d known Sarah, Amber and Laine forever. This from a little girl who 12 months ago would barely say hello to anyone she didn’t know. To see the change in her is fantastic and we credit physie for much of this. Her self confidence now is amazing.

Her goal last year was to win Nationals and perform on the DVD. She talked about it all year and yesterday the second part of her dream came true. It just goes to show that if you have a goal and work hard you can achieve anything.

The shoot was such a special day – the girls were amazing – so talented, but more importantly so friendly and generous with their time. All girls and teachers were great ambassadors for BJP. This is why Lara loves this sport.  Thanks for the opportunity – Lara will never forget it.”
