Moree Physie Club recently hosted a full day workshop, inviting all the clubs in the New England zone for a packed day of physie and fun. Girls came from Gunnedah, Coonabarabran, Tamworth, Armidale and of course Moree. Alicia and Shannon Reinhard of Toongabbie club went up to put the girls through their paces. The 5-8 years in the morning worked on positions, strength, technique, dance and marching. In the afternoon, the 9 years up to Seniors had a lesson on hip hop and lyrical dance and, importantly, how to incorporate that into their physie routines. “The girls had the best time” said teacher Samantha. “They were amazed at how much there is to learn about dancing and about physie technique. They’ve come back to class full of new energy and they keep remembering things they’ve learned, which is fantastic! Even the little ones keep saying ‘piece of cake’ and are remembering to turn their toes out.”
