It is time to start thinking about how you will spend your time in the off season.
It’s a great idea to take a week or two to recover both physically and mentally after a year of hard work and dedication. Of course we love Physie so we will start to miss it after the rush of Christmas and New Years passes and then the Physie withdrawals will begin!
The Physie off season is the perfect chance to incorporate some activities into your daily routine that may become a part of your life forever to maintain your muscle, joint and soft tissue health.
Where should you start?
- Write down the specific goals that you would like to accomplish over the Physie break and what you need to address before starting back at class in 2024.
- The goal is not to work on more technique in the off season, but to build up and focus on full body strength and fitness.
- Build body awareness.
- Watch some old Physie performances. Grab a pen and paper and ask yourself, “What do I do well ? Which areas can I improve?” Evaluate yourself honestly; no one’s watching.
- Take the time to read the previous tips of the weeks and make some notes!
Have a lovely break and have some fun with the above activities! Your teachers will be so proud to hear that you are continuing to work hard throughout your holidays with your 2024 goals already in mind!
