My favourite quote is…. “Some people dream of success while others wake up and work hard at it”. For Physie in particular, there is no truer saying. You cannot truly want something badly enough unless you are willing to put in the efforts that will lead you to success. Just like learning to ride a bike or to write your name, practice makes progress, and progress leads you towards achieving your goals. Put one foot in front of the other and never lose sight of what you are striving to achieve because good things don’t come easily.
I’ll never give up Physie because…… over time, it has become who I am! It provides me with consistency and routine, a fitness outlet and an opportunity to spend time with my friends and students every week. What more could you want from a sport?
When I’m not doing Physie I am… chasing after my four puppies at home, working as a family lawyer and, this year, planning my wedding.
My favourite routine this year is…. the Senior Contemporary. The storyline that has been used to choreograph it is so well thought out, and invites creativity and passion through expression. It will surely be something that moves the audience to tears when we see it on the Opera House stage later in the year.
Preparing to perform on the 2024 video was…. a bit more of a juggle than previous years, as I got married 4 weeks before filming. This created an extra (and welcome) preparation challenge for Tarah and I. So communication and prioritisation was key. We absolutely loved every minute of it.
My favourite thing about the video shoot was…. seeing the array of talent. From our very youngest video star Ari, to Sally who is just an inspiration to so many, every performer gave it their all and I was so proud to watch and share this special day with them.
Turn your dreams into goals and then, into reality!
Write down your goals. What do you want to achieve in 2025 – or in this life? Every
