Crossing Step

  • Lift one leg forward with knee bent so that your knee is level with your hip.
  • Thigh is horizontal – parallel to the floor.
  • Shin is vertical – parallel to the walls.
  • Point your toe towards the floor.
  • Ensure your supporting knee is straight.
  • The foot you are standing on should be turned out.
  • Be careful not to move your body! Your hips need to stay level and not lift when raising the leg.
  • Stand tall and keep your core switched on.
  • Breathe! This will help your balance.
