At the Ladies Teams Event last Sunday, the Randwick Club won the Keith Wickham Allen Memorial Cup which has been awarded every year since 1972.  This cup is presented to the club with the most points across the six ladies teams sections.  Judy Spence presented the cup to Jan McMah, teacher of Randwick Ladies club, pictured here with one of her many beautiful ladies.  This is the second year in a row that Randwick have won this prestigious award.  They were also winners of the Over 33 years Shield, which dates back to 1966.  The Under 33 years Shield was won by Menai-Illawong, who gained second place on the points scale.  It was a nail-biting finish to the day when Randwick and Menai-Illawong were tied on equal points following the announcement winner of the Over 33 years teams.  For a moment it looked like the two clubs would have to share the cup but then Randwick gained an Honourable Mention in the Over 33 section which put them 6 points ahead and made them the cup winners. Congratulations to all the ladies who competed so well for their clubs on Sunday to make it a wonderful gala day of ladies competition.
