“My physie idol is Jess Penman from Figtree Physie.
‘Miss Jess’ has taught me for a couple of years now and has helped me have an even better physie experience. Her physie work inspires me and makes me push myself to the limit so I can be just like her.
She may not make finals in nationals every year but she always tries her best. She cheers me up when all my friends make finals and I don’t and always congratulates me. She looks after me and my friends at rehearsals and she is a big part of my physie family.
Even though she will not be teaching at my club this year I will remember her voice at every competition reminding me to keep my knees locked in and pull up a little bit more. She has inspired me to never give up.”
