Every year at the Bonny Hills physie club comps, the girls all get to parade their medals. “It’s the only time of the year that the girls get to show off their achievements” says teacher Ann.
This year the girls medals were outshone by one very special medal – an Olympic gold medal, belonging to Paralympian rugby player Ryley Blatt. Ryley’s partner belongs to Bonny Hills physie and this year he made a suprise appearance with his gold from the 2012 London Paralympics.
“He’s such a great guy” said Ann, “he talked to all the kids and gave them autographs and not only that, he sat through the whole day of physie!” Now that’s a champion…
