My life as a Physie girl/lady in 5 words is…  passionate, dedicated, fulfilled, challenged, determined.

My earliest Physie memory is….  marching around a small room in a church hall doing the tiny tots Syllabus. There were lots of girls and we had to make more than one square. I also remember doing a fairy performance for the end of year Christmas night and I was dressed in a light blue tutu.

My favourite Physie moment was… when I experienced Grand competition for the first time. Sharing the stage with women that I have admired  since I was young and doing a solo march across the stage is a feeling I will never forget.

I’ll never give up Physie because… it’s always been a constant in my life. It’s something that I look forward to when my week starts and provides me with happiness, fitness and satisfaction.

When I’m not doing Physie I’m…  working full time as a senior contract administrator in the construction Health sector. Being part of the creation of infrastructure that will benefit so many people is why I love my job. Other than work, I spend a great deal of time with my beautiful pup, Clooney. My partner and I also like to get out into nature and go for hikes.

I’ll always be grateful for…  my support crew – all the wonderful people in my life that support and encourage me throughout my physie performances and activities.

My favourite routine….  has always been the relaxed (as a junior) and the contemporary (as a senior). I love being able to express a story through dance and the contemporary choreography allows this through technique and expression, musicality and movement. It also has balletic movements which I adore, as I loved doing ballet when I was younger.

My favourite thing about performing is….  knowing that I am doing something I love. To me performing is the opportunity to make the audience feel emotion through movement and expression and being able to form a connection with them.

Stretch your limits!
