It’s amazing where physie can take you!

A team of BJP Queensland Physie Girls had the experience of a lifetime recently when they performed on the stages of Disney.

Months of hard work and fundraising finally came to fruition in April when 36 girls aged from just 6 years up to 15 years flew to the USA to show America what physie girls can do.

The Burleigh Waters club raised over $90,000 to send their girls on a trip they’ll never forget.  They performed on stage in Disneyland as well as the California Adventure Park in specially designed physie leotards with long sleeves to combat the freezing USA winter.

The girls were all given a six day performer’s pass to Disneyland, taken on a special behind-the-

scenes tour and had their own exciting photo shoot, all courtesy of Disney.

Despite having to dance for 30 minutes straight, the girls didn’t lose their energy or enthusiasm for one second.  The talent co-ordinators of Disney were absolutely blown away by their intensity, posture, strength and their ability to dance in sync.  They said “these Aussie girls have brought Main Street to a standstill – and that hardly ever happens!”

Teacher, Lauren Kocass, said “it was just so incredible to see them up on stage smiling all the time and being so confident and proud of themselves.  All the hard work was worth it – they’re bringing home amazing memories that will last them a lifetime.”

From everyone in BJP “Congratulations girls!” and thanks for showing the world what physie girls can do…
